![]() Viking Pundit may have a good case to make (his links are haywire, so I refer to his plea for a computer upgrade), but sheesh! What about my rig? A Timex-Sinclair? With cassette tape? Monochrome display? People are always stopping me in the liquor store and saying, "Rodge, you really need to get out of the 1970's. If you had a HP 854n (for only $1399), you could really be boss blogger. Here, let me write you a check." |
You can get a perfectly nice HP at WalMart for about $800.
C'mon, boost our profit sharing.

Oh great, Mike just looked at the 854n...and he's drooling. Thanks a lot.

Kewl site - I don't know if this translates, but I just configured $1480 dream system (display not included). Yum yum.
Posted by: Rodger Schultz on April 25, 2003 08:50 PMMike NEEDS it in order to put all your family film, tape and photos into a wonderful DVD, and surprise you on your birthday. So, it's really your HP 854n.
Posted by: Rodger Schultz on April 26, 2003 05:59 AMYou're no help, you know. We need another computer like a hen needs a flag. And we already burn all our photos & such to CD.
For the last several months, he's been trying to convince me that we NEED one of those huge $4K flat liquid display tv things that also works as a monitor. I think we don't NEED to spend $4k to watch tv.
I need a 42" flat panel too, and here's good news Rita. BJ's is selling one for just $2995!
Posted by: Rodger Schultz on April 26, 2003 08:19 AMYes, and Sam's is now selling them for $2991. We still don't need it.
Maybe next year. You gotta keep goals in life you know.
