Eaten by the GOOGLE MONSTER

Since I was about to leave Blog.spot just about the time it was purchased by GOOGLE, I dint much consider ramifications.  Whoops.  One of, if not the onliest, reasons I blog is to get my version of things into the public debate.  That's achieved primarily by the Google 'hits' which account for about 25% of my customers.  If this article is right, we, dear Blogger friends, are about to be shunted off into the gym in the basement.

I see the author is in San Fransisco and probably voted for Al Gore. How do I know? The last sentence of the article.

"Just as one-man one-vote democracy terrifies the bejesus out of some people, so surely will a fairer Google.®"

Yes, "one-man one-vote democracy" terrified "the bejesus" out of the Founding Fathers which is why they set up the Electoral College et al.

Rodger, can you nuke CA again please?

Maybe then I'll lose "lesbians" as one of the major Google search strings for my site...

I often wondered how people feel when they're searching for a lesbian support group, or pics of lesbo sex, and they happen upon "Guns-R-Us", aka. kimdutoit.com...

I do, however, take great exception to the elitist tone the wanker uses in his article -- "idle chatter", indeed. Considering that bloggers show more integrity than, oh, some NYT reporters we could name, I think this tool needs his balls kicked.

And hey, there are other search engines. I can always use another.

Go figure, one man one vote is a crock of shit anyway! So is google. I'm glad I'm in the process of moving to moveable type myself. It seems everybody enjoys the format a lot more anyway. To hell with blogspot!

In my experience both groups like guns.

Gee, if I lost half of my readership. Lets see, pull out the calculator, tap, tap . . .hmmm, scratching my head (the one on my shoulders) . . .

That leaves three.

Cool.
