"I hocked an arster on Bill's Big Mac ....

IN THE acidly witty 1999 movie "The Election," a meek-mannered high school civics teacher becomes consumed with his hatred of an obnoxiously perfectionist, overachieving student -- to such an extent that he decides to sabotage her campaign for student body president. When I first saw the film, I wondered if it was meant, to some extent, as a clever metaphor for many Republicans' Clinton obsession, which went far beyond normal political opposition. Now, the much-discussed phenomenon of "Clintonophobia" has a parallel on the other side of the political spectrum. A lot of the criticism directed at President Bush crosses the line into irrational, visceral hatred. - Cathy Young, "Hating Presidents"
Since Kathy is obviously talking about me, I must respond.
"Clinton obsession, which went far beyond normal political opposition."
Cathy nails it.  My hatred for the Bill Clinton presidency had zero to do with politics, and everything to do with how this lawless man, and his lawless wife, were damaging the national culture, the rule of law, national security, and the Democrat party itself.  Bill Clinton had no real supporters among Democrats; he had defenders and apologists.  It takes a "big man" to admit a mistake, and he ain't a Democrat.  Which takes us to point #2.
"Clintonophobia" has a parallel on the other side of the political spectrum. A lot of the criticism directed at President Bush crosses the line into irrational, visceral hatred."
True. So, Cathy, you're batting .1000, but I don't think you know why.

Absolutely correct Roger:

After seeing how Clinton was hot-sheeting the White House bedrooms so rich leftys could say they had sex in the White House, a 30 year White House employee said that this practice made him ashamed to be an American. I felt the same way. Incidentally, the sex cost the leftys $200,000 to $400,000

I thought that Clinton should have been impeached for his money laundering, extortion and accepting bribes. Instead he was impeached for lying to a grand jury-a much lesser offence.

But justice was served.
