Ho Ho Ho Chi Ed
"It's yet more evidence, as if it
were needed, that people in 'Hollyweird' live in a cellophane,
enclosed, hermetically sealed bubble" Michael
Medved
Medved was talking about CBS' upcoming flight of fancy,
"The Reagans," but here's more. What more could Holiday
movie goers ask for than the delightful Will Farrell in a Christmas
story about an
ELF?
Well, a movie without Joe Stalin playing Santa would be nice. When I
saw the trailer for this movie last month, it prominently touted Ed
Asner in his role as Santa. What were they thinking? Since it's
impossible that New Line Cinema isn't aware of the enmity in which Asner is held by regular Americans,
the decision can only be a calculated stick in the eye. "Your
kids will demand to see it, and there's nothing you can do about
it." Television promotion for ELF, which began yesterday, does
not mention Asner. Pricks.
