The age group 18-30 is the most conservative age group there is. The reasons for that are:

Natural youth rebellion against the establishment which they see as left-wing. For many years their high school teachers, their college professors and the media have preached left-wing propaganda to them. They are sick of it and are in a rebellious mood.

Their growing up years were spent watching the antics of Clinton which turned them off. Bush is the ultimate UnClinton president.

9/11 hit this age group the hardest. Having been taught very little history in school, the 9/11 attacks came as a huge shock. The War on Terror is very important to them.
