Debunking The Bush AWOL Story - From The Horse's Mouth

Via The Comedian I found  what-oughta-be-the-blockbuster lead story in today's New York Times.

"Turnipseed is a strong Bush supporter. He said that he has been contacted many times especially recently, by "Bush haters" in the media, who try to get him to say that Bush was AWOL. Once they realize that he won't cooperate they lose interest in talking to him. When they do quote him, they say he is backpedaling--even though he is still saying the same exact thing he told them four years ago." - "Hon"

The back story is what fascinates me. A Freeper with the handle Hon explains how she [I'm making an assumption here] came about picking up her phone and calling Gen. William R. Turnipseed about the Bush Air Guard story being dispensed by the filthy people.
"I got into contact first with [leftist writer] Tom Turnipseed, who is an uber Bush basher. He told me Turnipseed was a solid Bush man (much to his disgust).

"That started me thinking that something didn't quite sound right, so I called him up. If you want to verify further, you can do your own leg work. It isn't that difficult. I don't want to post Turnipseed's phone number or email address. But you could find them if you wanted to.

"And yes, Turnipseed would like his side to get out. He gave me his consent to spread the word and to contact news agencies, such as Fox--which I have done."

What does the supposed source of the Michael Moore/Donk creation have to say?  Read for yourself, but short version is we're dealing with a pack of filthy liars.  When TankerKC  conratulates Hon for her industry in doing what the media haven't ["A simple resource not taught to most journalists."], Hon replies:
It's worse than that. They have called him. They aren't interested in what he has to say.

I can’t believe this Bush AWOL story can last much longer because it is so easily proven not to be true.

Being a fighter pilot is one of the most dangerous professions in the military because of the high death rate due to accidents.

Bush volunteering to be a fighter pilot in the Air National Guard took much more courage than Kerry joining the Navy.

It can't last longer because this just knocked the props from under it. When sock puppets like Peter Jennings want to interview the guy, there's no place for the Donk swine to hide. Will it hurt them though? Of course not.
