Similar to what my parents taught me. Of course the people who have to have these expectations explained to them after they are adults are already doomed. They are going through life with an endless list of officially acceptable (see recidivistic imperative) excuses for their failure to be responsible (alcohol, drugs, poverty, parents - or lack of, siblings - or lack of, and even completely unrelated events from other centuries).

Posted by: StMack at February 8, 2004 07:56 PMRodger, Rodger, Rodger. There's a much simpler answer. Make Sudafed and all ephedrine products only available by prescription...like they used to be. Making them available OTC is what started the meth craze. Them unintended consequences will bite you in the ass every time.
And if you'd seen what I've seen of the consequences of meth use, you might change your mind about it. It's worse than you can possibly imagine. I'm not talking about the users themselves. I don't give a rat's ass about them. But they should all be shot for what they do to their kids and other innocent family members.
Remember, there's absolutely nothing a meth addict won't do to support their habit. And I do mean nothing....including knocking yours truly in the head when I'm walking to my car after work to get enough money to get another fix. There was even one man who got busted when he took the bike his kid got for Christmas back to the store to exchange it for meth fixin's.
That's pretty damn sorry.
