It's frightening that so *many* Americans apparently believe the lies of the Donks and the mainstream media about Iraq, WMDs and all the rest. It almost defies belief--but looking at the pic you posted is...educational.
Unfortunately, Bush has helped the Left by failing to explain more forcefully and clearly the facts behind the decisions he's made. Although we know any articulate explanations would be ignored by the nationwide media, they'd surely be covered by local outlets and by bloggers.
If Bush's advisors can't discern that they're losing the info war, and find an effective counter, perhaps they deserve to lose the election.
Although I detest most of the Dems' goals, I think they've got the numbers to win this fall.
Posted by: sf at February 20, 2004 12:57 PMFailure to use his bully pulpit will one day be his historical legacy. I've written to suggest that I should be outfitted with a Bush mask each day, and sent before the tv cameras. No response.
Posted by: Rodger Schultz at February 20, 2004 01:55 PMIt frustrates me that, unlike his predecessor, The President seems to always choose the High Road, even when it's to his detriment. At some point, he needs to take a$$holes like Kennedy, Shawwwwpt'n, Edwards, Kerry and the rest to the woodshed.
"Defend yourself!" I want to say. Forget about this "different tone in Washington", as that's as dead as fried chicken (to paraphase Jules Whitfield).
Posted by: TrooperJohnSmith at February 20, 2004 10:03 PMYes I get frustrated as well but let's hope the Prez is lying in wait...waiting to see the whites of their eyes before opening up. The hole the dumbcrats are digging gets deeper every day and instead of heeding the good advice of "when you find yourself in a hole, quit digging" they dig on with maddening frenzy as they spin lie after lie as the major media's appetite requires.
Should be like shooting rats in a barrel when the time is ripe!!
