"Mayor Mike Moran" - has a nice ring to it

Remember NYC firefighter Mike Moran, the guy who lost his firefighter brother on 9-11, and captured America's sentiment when he  told Osama bin Laden he could "kiss my Irish ass?"  He called Limbo's show yesterday to basically say the same thing to the idiots taking offense at President Bush's made-controversial-by-the-media campaign ad.  But, this was the money shot for me [quote via NewsMax].

"The famed fireman also weighed in on rebuilding efforts now ongoing at Ground Zero, saying he'd like to see the Towers reconstructed just as they were before, with one modification.

"I think we should build them bigger, the same way ... [but] name one tower Mecca and one Medina, and [announce] that as long as those towers are standing those cities will stand," he told Limbaugh."

It turns out that all people that the media quotes as being angry about the Bush ads are executives in left-wing political organizations.

It is no coincidence that every media outlet is quoting the same few people.

The party that ran an ad showing a chain dragging behind a pickup truck is lecturing about distaste?

What does Mike Moran think about the fact that Bush cut funding to firefighters and first responders across the country?

Congress makes the budget, Lionel, and firefighters, EMS, and police are all local issues. If you don't think your local "first responders" are sufficiently funded, take it up with your local pols.

Robert, you forgot something in your post.

I believe there should be an extra sentence for Lionel.

Try cutting and pasting this, will you Rodge? It Should say.

"Congress makes the budget, Lionel, and firefighters, EMS, and police are all local issues. If you don't think your local "first responders" are sufficiently funded, take it up with your local pols. Idiot."
