Posted by Rodger Schultz at April 9, 2004 09:32 AMPUHLEEZE!!!!....10 minutes to ask relevant questions, and Dr. Rice drug out her answers...whether the question called for a short response or not (however she did give the smiling required 'yes' 'no' answer when one prominant republican basically gave her testimony for her and she could respond (smiling mind you) "yes"..."no")...
I mean REALLY watch the testimony next time and compare the time in response to a question posed from republicans compared to democrats...go ahead...take out your stop watch...don't be shy!!!
Over all, I believe the entire rhetoric surrounding this commision has lost its purpose and meaning due to BOTH parties and the current and past administration sitting around defending there record, instead of providing comprehensive information on what happened, what they knew, how they responded, and (in hindsight mind you) what could have been done differently...finally ending with what IS being done (I am sorry, but using 9/11 to invade and trample on a U.S. citizens constitutional rights puts our government on a standing with the KGB of former communist Russia)
By the way...questioning a person and demanding they give a QUICK, COMPREHENSIVE response does not make them a racist...
Richard Ben-Veniste may have been guilty of being harsher against a member of the Bush administration, which makes him guilty of POLITICS, it however does NOT make him a racist. It is rediculous, slanderous, and lacking in insight to suggest otherwise
