The teaser that Mr. du Toit printed from the Roger Kimball's The Treason of the Intellectuals and "the undoing of thought" points out part of the reason - debased imitations of culture only merit casual attention, even from their most ardent participants.
Posted by kenneth at April 9, 2004 03:02 AMIt's about as professional as a bad college radio station and about as interesting as a beer fart.
Posted by Jim - Parkway Rest Stop at April 9, 2004 05:20 AMThe extra hoopla surrounding lefty radio is not surprising. After all, most of the TV stations and media outlets are lefty (with a twist of we're not biaed BS) already and they were more than happy to push it along as best they could.
I was at a restaurant last night and Dan Rather was on. After about 5 minutes of his sober performance, I was ready to kick Bush out of the Whitehouse and surrender to the Iraqis because from what Dan said and the stories shown, the Shits and SueMe clans in Iraq are defeating us on a pretty regular basis.
Dan is right up there with Baghdad Bob in my opinion...
I requested they turn the channel and they did.
