1000 yards, no problemo today, but let's pull the pin.

"Press Didn't Buy White House Spin on 9/11 Document"
Cleveland Plain Dealer

"Many newspapers ran Scott Lindlaw's Associated Press wrap-up which opened this way: "President Bush was told more than a month before the Sept. 11 attacks that al-Qaida had reached America's shores, had a support system in place for its operatives and that the FBI had detected suspicious activity that might involve a hijacking plot." -  Reich Ministry for People's Enlightenment and Propaganda

Mother and I are gittn a little old to be sniping with the .50, so if someone doesn't light the fuse real quick we may be relegated to hiding people in the cellar.  You'll get good grub though. Sheesh.

Never too old. And since idiots seem to congregate, if you miss your target, maybe you'l take out another just as shoot-worthy.

Building on what Cbeck said:

Dump the .50, move "down" in class to the .300 WinMag.

Less owie on your end, same dead meat at the naughty end, even at 1,000.

Or you could move closer and use a grenade launcher (my personal favorite).

Didn't Hathcock use a Remington 300 mag in Viet Nam-I gotta try one of those!
