Canker Blossoms

Our class hall monitor Jake suggested that this story was right up my alley.  He's right.

maybe earth friendly, but not grandma friendly !

speaking as a new grampa, I know that's not going to fly here ! Cute little bare butt or not (both grand daughter & gramma).

What is it with people wanting to get handle their bodily waste?

geeze, CareyOnly...
that's about as bad a re-useable "feminine napkins"!

"As I use my Lunapads, I rinse them out and add them to my soaking bucket, which I keep under the bathroom sink. I change the water every day and keep adding used pads and liners to it until my cycle is over. Then I drain the water into my plants, and throw all the soaked pads into the washing machine. Easy as pie!"

That's it!!! The environmental answer we've all been looking for. But why stop at babies. Think about it... no more pesky bathroom lines, just drop by the nearest space of green and have at it. It'll be a happy environment everywhere.

hmmm... I wonder if there's anything good for the plants in menstrual blood?

Gross.

Please vote for Bush.

SondraK,
The sad thing is, they're not kidding. :P

"Then I drain the water into my plants, and throw all the soaked pads into the washing machine. Easy as pie!"

I don't want any of the vegetables. I'll skip dessert too.

A Big Mac never looked so good.

I gotta say - I actually have used this method, and it's not as kooky as it seems. I don't use it for environmental reasons, so much as for "humanitarian" reasons. And we (like 90% of North Americans using this method) do use diapers, or at least training pants or underwear on our baby. You have to realize that the person who wrote the article you linked to was getting his info 3rd or 4th hand. I don't think either himself or the Bidinotti character he quotes has really read either Ingrid's website or her book. Before you judge, follow the links all the way to the source - http://www.natural-wisdom.com - and then do some looking around.
