![]() Nineteen of 23 officers who served with John Kerry in Vietnam are among hundreds of former commanders and military colleagues who will sign a letter that he is "unfit to be commander-in-chief." They will make the declaration at a press conference in Washington on Tuesday. Here's what I find significant in this story. Before the Clinton Terror, no politician could possibly have survived such an event. Just a dozen years later the culture wars have brought us to a point where John Kerry can not only survive it, but nobody watching mainstream television news will even hear about it [I'm predicting with some certainty]. We are a nation culturally divided against itself. There are consequences to be suffered. |
Very accurate images. I prefer the right one...
Posted by Yarbz at May 3, 2004 12:20 PMI agree that this will be ignored by mainstreamers. Hopefully someone with NADS will not try to obfuscate the message of or smear these heroes.
Posted by DaneBramage at May 3, 2004 12:40 PMI hope these guys actually deliver. Then we can say "I told you so." However, if they blow JFK's candidacy out of the water, we may have to deal with an even more dangerous candidate - Her Filthiness. (Thanks to KDT for that fitting handle.) Who will be the Donks backup candidate? Waddaya all think?

Posted by Rodger Schultz at May 3, 2004 01:52 PMAnyone see Tom Rall's piece of filth? That boy needs a dose of reality. Maybe a Hillary lockbox application that crushes his cherries?
Posted by PCD at May 3, 2004 02:05 PMI don't see how nineteen votes will make any difference... assuming they all vote.
Okay, maybe what you're saying is that the election will turn on whether or not they can get out the RATS' vote, eh?

I apologize Worthy One. I'll continue to use it plentifully and wisely with correct attribution.
hmmm. . .
"According to naval regulations at the time, any sailor who received three Purple Hearts could request a transfer out of the combat zone."
and
"Lt. Commander Grant Hibbard. Hibbard recently questioned whether Kerry deserved the first of his three Purple Hearts that he received in Vietnam. Hibbard doubted both the severity of the wound and whether it resulted from enemy fire."
Does anybody know if Kerry got his transfer out of Viet Nam because of the above mentioned naval regulations? I wonder if . . .
