Warning labels

In 1992 Peter Jennings acknowledged, if just for a moment, that the recession the Clinton campaign was making so much fuss about (worst economy in 50 years) had actually ended in March of that year.
"But don't tell that to [Joe Blow] in Orlando, Florida .... " intoned Jennings.  He went on to document how this baggage handler (or whatever) was still suffering from the Bush economic downturn.  Fast forward 12 years.
Richard J. DeKaser, chief economist at the National City Corporation in Cleveland, told the New York Times Friday: 'You'd be hard-pressed to find a dark lining in this cloud,' after the new job creations report was released.

Here's Jennings.
'When you look at the kind of work people are getting, however, the news is a little less encouraging.' ABC's downbeat story focused on service-sector jobs and those who are 'underemployed.' - Brent Baker writes at www.mediaresearch.com.

Here's my proposal. There is barely a product on the market today without a warning label of some kind  ("Wearing of This Garment Does Not Enable You to Fly:")  Yet, when it comes to the news , polls, and politicians, we are left to our own devices.  I want the CBS/New York Times poll to contain the label, "Warning:  this poll will show that the Democrat is leading until the day before the election."  I want ABC Nightly News prefaced with the label, "Warning: The following news is skewed to conform with news reader's world view."

     I'm dead serious.

Comments: Warning labels

Here's my proposal. You put me in an abandoned warehouse locked up in there with Peter Jennings and all I want is about 18 inches of good rubber hose and a sack of doorknobs. I guarantee he'll be crying like a pussy in 10 seconds.

Yeah, but I think that's illegal.

Didn't say I would do anything to him, just put me in that position.Cowards like him dissolve at the mere hint of brutality.

Rodger, you got it wrong. It's, "This poll will show that the Democrat is leading until the day after the election."
