I can honestly claim 18 of 20

The Baron's list of things every man should do, or experience, at least once before he dies.

1. Shoot a gun larger than a .22.
2. Teach a kid to shoot.
3. Cook a meal out in the open (and I don't mean a backyard BBQ).
4. Kill an animal which can kill you.
5. Taste a good brandy (no French cognacs need apply) and a fine single malt Scotch.
6. Visit at least eight countries outside your own continent, none of which speak your home language.
7. Read any six Shakespeare plays.
8. Win a solo sporting competition -- anything that involves physical exercise.
9. Be part of a winning sports team.
10. Make love with a woman in a forbidden place.
11. Have a strange woman invite you home with her; and refuse her, because you're married.
12. Build something tangible -- out of wood, steel, brick, whatever.
13. Sit up all night comforting a sick child.
14. Tell the truth, where a lie would both be urable, ndiscoveand keep you out of trouble.
15. Watch at least one real virtuoso play a musical instrument -- in any kind of music. (I've seen Eric Clapton, Itzhak Perlman, and Stephne Graappelli perform, and watched both Solti and Barenboim conduct the Chicago Symphony. Pretty humbling.)
16. Perform on stage (music, theater, whatever), to a large (500+) audience.
17. Play at least one musical instrument competently.
18. Make love to a woman at least ten years older than you are.
19. Tell a government bureaucrat to fuck off.
20. And finally: tell a true story to your grandchildren

I am sick and tired of these supposed torture pictures from Abu Ghraib prison. They are terrorists for God's sake. They deserve this torture!

Umm, I think I've done 2, maybe 3. And I'm fine with that.

14 out of 20. Not bad considering I don't have any kids (and obviously no grandkids.)

10 out of 20. Exactly halfway there. Since I'm 33, and the average life expenctancy of an American male is 74, I'm ahead of the curve.

Fifteen and if it hadn't been for that damn number 11 I would have had one more.

14, but couple of these are N/A, all in good time.

With appropriate changes of gender, I've done most of those. Not #16 & 19.... and I've never tasted Scotch b/c I don't like whiskey....and I've only been to 6 countries.

OMG now I'm gonna die aren't I?

12 so far, but #18 would cause me problems. That may be how Kim got three wives. I think I'll keep #1, she's kinda handy to have around

Some spiders can kill so I think I have one. Maybe two - I saw Michael Romeo playing with his band in concert twice.

I would add one. Kill a commie just to watch him/her die. Did 9 times. AHHHHHHH!

18, but then I'm nearly 60. (Didn't care for brandy, but I did try it to please a friend. I'm a single malt guy.) [And, Rita, it's whisky when it's Scotch, so it doesn't taste like aftershave smells, as does bourbon. Try it. You might like it.] (Uh, about #4. Would a duck with a hand grenade count?)
